This course will explore the origin and nature of gender differences in the classroom and assist teachers in acquiring field-tested and research-based classroom strategies to enhance students’ achievement and engagement while decreasing behavior problems. This course will help participants make more informed instructional decisions which harness the unique strengths of adolescent boys and girls. Topics of study will include fundamental brain science concepts and instructional strategies, including movement, visual-spatial, relevancy, choice, and relationship-building.
