Regional Training Conferences

The Institute facilitates 2 and 3-day regional training, partnering with school districts, regional educational service districts, institutions of higher education, and non-profit organizations. The partner organization, as the regional sponsor, is responsible for:

  • Arranging for CEUs or college credit opportunities for participants
  • Arranging the venue, including general session and break-out session space
  • Promulgating and distributing marketing and registration flyers and brochures
  • Collecting registrations
  • Arranging for any food service offered as part of the training—such as continental breakfast, breaks and lunches
  • Arranging for book sales, often coordinating with a local book store
  • Providing necessary technology support during setup and facilitation of the event
  • Media coverage, including local television, radio and print media, as appropriate
  • Providing participant list to the Gurian Institute with permission for use

The Gurian Institute will provide the following:

  • A template for conference marketing brochure and conference agenda
  • A training team selected based on the demographics and needs of the participants
  • All training materials needed by participants, including participant manuals
  • All trainer materials required for facilitation of all sessions
  • List of books to make available for sales with quantities projected based on registrations
  • Time for book signings in conjunction with book sales
  • Website link to marketing and registration information from partner organization
  • Logos, pictures and bios of keynote presenter and training staff for marketing materials
  • Availability for media interviews and programming as arranged in advance

Training Costs for Regional Conferences are as follows:

2-Day Conferences

  • $225 per person (based on 100 participant minimum)
  • (With a 200+ confirmed attendance the cost per person is reduced to $200)

3-Day Conferences

  • $325 per person (based on 100 participant minimum)
  • (With a 200+ confirmed attendance the cost per person is reduced to $290)
