Frank provides a unique perspective as a Gurian certified trainer, combining his background as an internet crimes police detective, a school resource officer, and a father of six kids of his own. Due in part to his work with teens and internet safety, Frank was honored as the 2006 Arizona School Resource Officer of the Year. As a computer crimes detective, Frank investigated internet crimes against children and developed sound strategies for parents to protect their loved ones. He also co-authored the book WTF: Why Teens Fail in 2012. Frank is an adjunct college instructor in digital forensics for the University of Advancing Technology.
SOCIAL AGGRESSION IN SOCIAL MEDIA
In this course, Frank provides a research-based foundation for understanding boy and girl social aggression and how it applies to internet and social media activity. He also provides strategies for coaching adolescence on how to identify violent social aggression, how to intervene when necessary, and how to coach self-advocacy skills to targets of social aggression. In this course, Frank discusses the motives of boys and girls in the sexting revolution and strategies for teaching adolescence the consequences of risky sexual behavior. He also provides research based data on the effects of pornography on brain chemistry and strategies for preventing pornography addictions in teens.
