Susan Hanfland - Certified Trainer Susan Hanfland has been a professional trainer for 20 years. Her interest in Brain Compatible Learning strategies began in 1987 as an attendee at an Eric Jansen workshop called Teacher Tool Box. She has been studying the subject, experimenting with techniques and sharing her expertise with teachers since then. Susan received her BS in Education in December 1974 from Bradley University, in Peoria, Illinois, with a double major: Special Education/Elementary Education and minors in Language Arts, Science, Math, Social Studies. Completing her MA in Education Administration in December 1984 from Eastern Illinois University, she became the Special Needs Coordinator and two years later the Director for a consortium of school districts. She has been providing professional development training on a regional and state basis. Susan lives in East Central Illinois with her husband, Jerry, and has one daughter and one son. In her spare time Susan competitively sails on a sailboat and kayaks. |
