Margaret Kelberer - Certified Trainer
E-mail: mkelberer@spa.edu

Margaret has been teaching in a classroom or library setting for 30 years, working with children grades K-8.

She writes, "I tried to leave teaching at one point in my career, thinking I should try something else....I came running back!

"I have always believed that some people are born to teach, and I am one of them. I am passionate about trying to reach every child whereever they may start. This passion led me to my interest in studying gender differences in the brain and their application to education.

"I was granted a sabbatical from my school, St. Paul Academy, to pursue my studies and have been hooked ever since. Toward the end of my sabbatical last year (2008), I had the opportunity to attend the Gurian Institute and become a certified trainer.

"I am anxious to work with teachers and parents using this training and hope to help educators reach each child with their knowledge of gender-based brain research."
