Doug MacIsaac has been a teacher and teacher educator for over twenty-five years.  He is a faculty member in the Department of Teacher Education and the Nina B. Hollis Institute for Educational Reform at Stetson University.

As the university’s Professional Development School Coordinator, Doug provides educators with professional development in gender based teaching and learning, curriculum, literacy, supervision and coaching, management, teacher induction and mentoring, and technology.  Through education courses and workshops, Doug is helping teachers and teacher candidates understand the importance of nature-based theory and gender specific teaching strategies in optimizing learning outcomes for all students.

Doug has been involved in the development and implementation of educational programs in Indonesia and Thailand and is a consultant and regional recruiter for the International Program at the Kasetsart University Laboratory School in Bangkok, Thailand.

Doug is past-president of the Florida Association of Teacher Educators.
